T minus 2 days until Samsung reveals Bada; EA and Twitter to be at the launch event
I don’t know about you, but I’m actually quite curious to see what Samsung has up their sleeves with their home grown Bada operating system. You may not know this, but Samsung is the second largest handset maker in the world. They’re not a little fish in the sea, and depending on which analyst you ask, the South Korean company whose name translates to “three stars” and who started out as nothing more than a trading post, may very well become the next Nokia (NYSE: NOK) in terms of unit sales. Samsung looked at Android, Windows Mobile, Symbian, and built some pretty terrible “enhancements” on top of all three, and they were still not satisfied. On December 8th, in London, they’re going to show off Bada and I frankly can’t wait to see what it looks like. According to the official @samsunghub Twitter account there will be at least two familiar companies there: EA (Electronic Arts) and Twitter. Who else do you think will show, and more importantly which applications do you want to see on Bada for you to even consider switching?
